KENYA SPACE AGENCY GRANTS KSH 1M TO KU FOR PROTOTYPE

Kenyatta University Vice-Chancellor Prof Paul K Wainaina (LEFT) receives a dummy cheque for Ksh1M from Kenya Space Agency (KSA) presented by the Cabinet Secretary, Ministry for Defence Amb. Dr Monica Juma (CENTER) together with Maj.General Thomas Chepkuto (second left) Acting Director-General KSA. Looking on (RIGHT) is Dr. Shadrack Mambo, Dean KU School of Engineering.The funds will be utilized to develop nano satellite prototype for imagery, telemetry and drones for agricultural use and disaster management in the country following a successful submission of a proposal by Kenyatta University to KSA.
