Kenyatta University wishes to inform ALL Institutional Based (IBP) and Open Learning (IOL) students who qualify to go on Teaching Practice (May – August 2010), that the registration exercise will take place from Monday 1st to Friday 12th February, 2010 at the Teaching Practice Centre from 9.00 a.m. – 3.00p.m.

Eligible students should have successful completed the units (ECT 202, ECT 300 and Subject Methods of the two teaching subjects) from the Department of Educational Communication & Technology. Additionally, each student should have paid Kshs. 9,000 Teaching Practice Fee before registration.

The following are dates for Teaching Practice exercise for B. Ed 3rd and 4th year student-teachers;

• Registration    -     Regular  1st – 12th February 2010 IBP/IOL  10th–12thFebruary (Advertisement required)
• Posting of students  -  15th  -  26th February 2010
• Orientation of students
  • i.    Regulars - 10th April  2010
  • ii.    IBP/IOL    - 17th April 2010
• Orientation for 
  • Area Supervisors    -    24th April 2010
  • General Supervisors      -      30th April 2010
• Begin of TP Exercise            -    3rd May – 31st July 2010
