The Department of Hospitality Management is located at the School of Hospitality Complex. The Department also has a presence at the Kenyatta University’s Mombasa Campus.

The Department's Specialty & Branding

The Department of Hospitality Management seeks to position itself as the premier provider of Hospitality training and research, providing competency, skill and knowledge catered for the highly dynamic and global hospitality and tourism industry. We have developed our programmes to reflect these core values globally.


The Department of Hospitality Management conducts assessment of students in accordance with Kenyatta University regulations on examinations. Modes of assessment include continuous assessment tests, projects, theses and examinations. The lecturers emphasize on creativity in conjunction with technical and presentation skills to be able to harness an all rounded professional.
