The event was organized by Kenyatta University in collaboration with Futurize, through Business Administration Department. The launch was attended by members of Kenyatta University, Futurize officials  and representatives from various corporations, as well as students from several universities across Africa continent through blended mode.

Fuel Africa 2024 is a competition that brings together graduate and undergraduate students to address key challenges in healthcare and climate change using technology. This open day served as a basis for students to find innovative solutions to improve healthcare accessibility, address climate change-related health challenges, and enhance the use of Artificial Intelligence in healthcare.

Overall, the launching of Fuel Africa 2024 was a resounding success, with 1200 students from 22 universities across 12 African countries participating in the event.
