Kenyatta University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Paul Wainaina presents early childhood learning materials to Solai Nyakinyua Primary School Headmaster Mr. Stanley Njoroge (right) in Solai, Nakuru County. The school was partially destroyed during the Patel dam tragedy last May that killed more than 47, injured 41 while 223 households lost their homes and almost 5,000 people were displaced. KU donated teaching materials to the pupils worth over Ksh100,000.

Prof. Paul K. Wainaina, Vice-Chancellor of Kenyatta University speaking during the Collaboration for Entrepreneurial Universities (CEPU) Project Kick-off held at the Kenyatta University Conference Centre. Both KU and Mount Kenya University signed an agreement to be part of a consortium of five German Universities who will execute the project. CEPU covers labour market and entrepeneurship-oriented teaching, research and capacity building. The project is financed by the German Academic Exchange Service(DAAD) and the German Federal Ministry of Economic Co-operation and Developement.

The WSCC 2018 at Kenyatta University takes up the “bridge-building” aspect of WCSS 2017 and will provide continuity in serving as a platform for discussions towards water secure societies.
